Pawmetto Lifeline is a 501(c)3 not-for-profit animal rescue organization solving pet overpopulation in the Midlands. Annually, more than 11,469 homeless dogs and cats enter municipal shelters in Lexington & Richland counties which has decreased 17 percent from the previous year. Thirty-two percent of those same pets are euthanized simply because they are homeless which is a decrease of 12 percent from last year. Our plan uniquely positions us to correct this problem through four distinct initiatives: Adoption, Medical, Rescue Collaboration and Education efforts.
Pawmetto Lifeline believes companion pets have value beyond economic measurement and are entitled to legal, moral, and ethical consideration. Our long-term goal is to create a no-kill community within the Midlands, where healthy, adoptable pets will not be euthanized for simply being homeless.
