Pet Soup

Pawmetto Lifeline operates the Pet Soup food pantry to provide dog and cat food to needy pet owners. Pet Soup operates out of the Harvest Hope Food Bank parking lot. All of the food is donated by local pet food manufacturers and the general public and the program is largely run by volunteers. This simple, yet much-needed program serves more than 1,000 registered clients each year, and distributes more than 6,000 pounds of pet food each month.

Please donate to support this worthy program and help keep pets out of shelters. Pet Soup is completely dependent on private donations, and we are very appreciative of monetary donations to help with administrative and transport costs, food donations, and volunteers. We accept donations of any brand of cat or dog food. If bags have been opened, please be sure they are taped securely shut. You may drop food off in the Pet Soup Bin outside of Pawmetto Lifeline's offices at 6880 St. Andrews Rd., Columbia, SC.

Need Help?

The Pet Soup program is intended to serve as an emergency, short-term resource only.  Due to high demand and limited supply of pet food available, participants must be pre-approved before receiving assistance.  Pet food will only be distributed to current Pet Soup card holders. Click on the links below for more information.
